BT21 · Updated August 2026
BT21 is a family of 8 characters created in 2017 by the members of BTS in collaboration with LINE Friends. This guide introduces the 8 characters, their connection to each BTS member, and the best plush choices to build a complete collection.
The 8 BT21 characters — who represents whom?
Each BT21 character was designed by a member of BTS: Cooky (Jungkook) — muscular pink bunny. Chimmy (Jimin) — yellow puppy in a hoodie. Koya (RM) — sleepy purple koala. RJ (Jin) — kind cream alpaca. Shooky (Suga) — rebellious black cookie. Tata (V) — heart-shaped purple alien. Mang (J-Hope) — horse with a star mask. Van — spaceship designed by all 7 members together, guardian of the BT21 family. For the complete story of each character, also see the dedicated articles on the BT21 Shop blog.
How to start a BT21 plush collection
Two approaches to building a BT21 collection: collection by bias (starting with the favorite member's character, then expanding) or a complete collection all at once (all 8 characters in Standard size, for example). The first approach is more gradual; the second creates an immediate visual impact on a shelf. For a controlled budget, start with the most in-demand characters: Cooky, Chimmy, Koya. For a balanced collection: a mix of Standard + a few Baby for secondary characters. See our size guide to plan your collection.
What size for a complete BT21 collection?
For a consistent shelf collection, the Standard size (24 cm) is the most suitable: all characters have the same height, the embroideries are legible, and the ensemble forms a visually homogeneous group. Some collectors mix Standard and Baby sizes — the Baby sizes then serve as outsiders or companions at the office. For a display case or dedicated furniture: Jumbo sizes create a spectacular effect with 2–3 key characters. To see all available sizes per character: BT21 Shop.
