Koya BT21 Plush — RM's Koala, complete guide 2026

BT21 · Updated August 2026

The Koya BT21 plush is RM's character — a blue-purple koala, often depicted sleeping, created in 2017 with LINE Friends. Discreet and thoughtful, Koya is one of the most unusual BT21 characters, and one of the most sought after by RM fans.

Koya BT21 — RM's sleepy koala

RM designed Koya as a blue-purple koala perpetually half-asleep — with half-closed eyes, looking pensive. This thoughtful design is a nod to RM's contemplative and intellectual nature within BTS: always thinking, observing, creating. The round ears and blue-purple palette make him one of the most visually distinct BT21 characters. For RM fans or collectors who prioritize original designs, the Koya BT21 plush is a natural choice. Koya BT21 Plush Sizes

Koya is available in Baby (12 cm), Standard (24 cm), and 30 cm cushion. The Standard size is the main choice for a shelf or desk — the ideal size for the embroidered face details to be perfectly legible. The Baby size is suitable for younger children or desk decorations. The 30 cm cushion is a flat version for a sofa. To compare sizes between characters, see our BT21 size guide.

Official Koya Plush vs. Copy — Key Differences

Imitations of Koya circulate on low-priced marketplaces. The original can be recognized by the specific LINE Friends blue-purple color, the precise embroidery of the half-closed eyes, and the LINE Friends label on the tag. An official Standard Koya costs between €20 and €35. Our counterfeit vs. official guide lists all the visual criteria to check. BT21 Shop only distributes official Koya plush toys.
